If you like goofy dogs with winning personalities, look no further because Cliff’s your guy! This 6-year old, 65-pound hound mix located in Lowell, MA has funny antics and a million dollar smile. He has a happy-go-lucky attitude and a tail-wagging curious nature.

This handsome boy loves every human he meets on walks and those who come for a visit. He likes to greet people with kisses in hopes of getting lots of attention and affection. However, he still thinks he’s a puppy and sometimes gets jumpy as a result of his zest for life.

Cliff loves going for walks, hiking through the woods, swimming, and playing around with all his toys at home. This smart and handsome boy is game for just about everything. On the flip side, he’s also a professional couch potato. He enjoys lounging, stretching, and rolling around on his back. He is quite crafty about making himself a comfy spot to chill out.

Cliff is being re-homed because his former family could no longer keep him. An acquaintance in the doggy daycare business took him in with the intent of finding him a good home. He reached out to ARK for assistance and we were more than happy to help such a nice dog!

Cliff wants you to know that he’s spent most of his life in a loving home, but his early childhood was not the easiest and caused him to be nervous and reactive toward dogs he doesn’t know. Since he is intelligent and enjoys learning with treats, an experienced owner can manage this behavior through positive reinforcement. Right now, Cliff is not a candidate for dog parks or doggie day care. He does like one-on-one playdates with compatible canines, but he needs to be the only fur kid in his new home.

Cliff would thrive in a loving home with people who are just as upbeat as he is. Since he loves to be outdoors running around, he would benefit from active adopters and preferably a single-family home with a fenced-in yard. He is not comfortable with young kids running around making noise, but he’d be a fun dog to play catch or chase with for dog-savvy teens age 13+.
