Cleo's Story

Meet Cleo!

Cleo is an adorable Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix puppy, born June 19, 2026, who currently weighs just 6.5 pounds. She’s expected to stay small as an adult, but she has a whole lot of love and personality packed into that tiny body!

Cleo is a happy, affectionate little girl who seems to believe that everyone she meets is a new best friend. She loves following her people around, giving kisses, playing, and snuggling. If you’re looking for a little shadow who wants to be part of your everyday life, Cleo might be your girl!

At just 4 months old, Cleo is still a baby and has plenty to learn. She is not yet housetrained, but she is making progress when taken outside frequently and will also use pee pads indoors. Her new family will need to be patient and consistent with potty training, socialization, and basic puppy manners.

Cleo has not yet been tested with other dogs or cats, and she has not started leash walks because she is not fully vaccinated. Her microchip has been placed, and she will need to be spayed as part of her adoption agreement, with a spay deposit required. She will also need her last set of shots which will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Cleo needs a home where someone is available most of the time (works from home) to provide the attention, supervision, training, and socialization a young puppy needs. Because she is not fully vaccinated and is not due until the first week of November for those, it would be best if the Adopter had a fenced yard so that she stays protected. With the right commitment, she has all the potential to grow into a wonderful little companion.

We are accepting applications now for this sweet little girl! Could Cleo be the tiny new best friend you’ve been waiting for?

Adoption $500 + $100 spay deposit

Puppies adoption fees are $500 plus an additional $100 spay/neuter deposit that will be refunded when the puppies are spayed or neutered at an UnderDog vet at Underdogs expense. Note that we will do puppy shots through the time we have the puppies. Once adopted, the adopter will be responsible for all additional vet care which will often include an additional 2 sets of puppy vaccines and worming.

TO ADOPT THIS DOG PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT https://underdogrescueofflorida.com/.

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. For consideration for one or more dogs, we require that an on-line application is filled out.

Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online.

Our application process:
FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue.
SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc.

If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again. We will make every effort to find the right dog for an approved applicant.
We hope you agree and understand that our goal to find the best forever home is our #1 priority!

Please fill out an Adoption Application at https://underdogrescueofflorida.com/
