CLEO's Story

Meet Cleo!

Cleo is a sweet 1–3-year-old Dandie Dinmont/Schnauzer/Dachshund mix with a gentle personality and a serious love for the couch! She’s fully potty trained and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. She’s curious about cats but is not aggressive toward them.

Cleo enjoys running around the yard, playing with her foster dog siblings, and having fun with her toys. She’s also treat motivated, which makes her a pretty easy girl to win over! Once she comes inside, though, Cleo transforms into a lazy little old lady who would happily spend the rest of the day napping, cuddling, or watching TV with her favorite person.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a few hours, a little patience, and a treat or two, and she’ll warm up just fine.

One thing Cleo will be very honest about: kennels are NOT her thing! She absolutely hates them and tends to be a little anxious when in one. She does fine roaming the home as long as someone is there. She has a hard time being left alone and needs to be with someone long enough where she can learn that someone will come back for her.

Cleo was found as a stray, severely matted and painfully skinny. After a few months of good food, a much-needed grooming, and lots of love, she has blossomed into the sweet, happy girl she was meant to be. Now, she’s ready for the best chapter yet—a forever home of her own.

Cleo will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated before heading to her forever family.

Adoption requirements for Cleo include a fenced in yard, no young children, and another furry brother or sister who can show her the ropes and keep her company.

If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who enjoys a little playtime but is happiest curled up beside you, Cleo might be your perfect match.

Adoption fee includes spay, microchip, vaccinations.
