Cleo's Story
Meet Cleo, A Tiny Queen with a Huge Heart
Cleopatra, affectionately known as Cleo, is a 3-year-old female French Bulldog who is as sweet as they come. Despite a start in life that should have broken her spirit, Cleo remains a happy, gentle little lady who absolutely lives for love and praise.
Cleo is wonderfully low energy and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She is incredibly praise motivated, often even more than food, and just wants to know she’s doing a good job. She does well with other dogs with slow, proper introductions, though she can be reactive otherwise, so thoughtful management is key.
Cleo would do best in a home with older children or no children at all. She is not comfortable around toddlers or very young kids and needs her boundaries respected so she can feel safe and relaxed.
When Cleo was surrendered to us, we uncovered the heartbreaking truth about her medical history. Cleo does have congenital hip and spine abnormalities that require long-term management, but she is currently comfortable, pain-free, and enjoying life. With continued care and monitoring, she has the potential to live a happy, fulfilling life.
Cleo is still joyful, affectionate, and sweet beyond words. All she has ever known is pain, but today she is comfortable, pain-free, and enjoying life. We are focused on long-term management to ensure she maintains quality of life for as long as possible. There is also a very real possibility that Cleo may never experience neurological worsening and could go on to live a happy, healthy, pain-free life.
Cleo is looking for a special home, one that understands her medical needs, respects her boundaries, and is committed to loving her for exactly who she is. In return, she offers unwavering affection, gentle companionship, and the honor of loving a truly remarkable little soul.
Cleo may be small, but her heart is mighty, and she’s ready to be someone’s cherished queen.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE RESCUE THROUGH PETFINDER, VISIT PITCREW.ORG AND COMPLETE ADOPTION APPLICATION. *All of our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped*
