Cleo's Story
Cleo is a 2-year-old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) weighing just about 10 lbs. She’s full of spunk wrapped up in a petite little package. Though she can be a bit timid when meeting new people or dogs, she warms up quickly — especially if treats are involved! Cleo tends to prefer women but will charm just about anyone once she feels safe.

This sweet girl came to us with a couple of unique needs. She was born with a congenital jaw deformity called parrot mouth, so keeping up with her dental health will be important as she ages. She also has an old, untreated leg break that healed on its own; she’s comfortable and happy but will always have a little limp (X-rays available to her adopters). Cleo does great with other dogs, cats, and older, respectful kids. She’s currently on joint supplements and should avoid jumping off furniture or stairs to keep her legs healthy.

Despite her tough start, Cleo’s spirit shines through — she’s affectionate, playful, and ready to find her forever family who will love her just the way she is.

?
