Cleo's Story

My humans call me Cleo. I’m a black lab mix, at a mere 25 pounds of pure puppy energy. Four months old and still figuring things out, just like every other creature on four paws.

My world revolves around a few key things. Bones, for starters. Oh, the joy of a good chew bone! And food. Let’s just say if there’s a crumb, a treat, or anything remotely edible, my nose will find it. My humans seem to find this amusing, especially when my nose leads me to the countertops. They call it "counter surfing," and apparently, I need to unlearn that. I also have a tendency to greet everyone with a bit too much enthusiasm, hence the jumping. It’s just my way of saying hello!

The car is a bit of a puzzle. Getting in and out feels… uncertain. I’m always a good girl once we’re moving, but the transition is a mystery. I also tend to stick close to my humans, especially around bigger, noisy dogs. They’re just a bit too overwhelming for my liking.

My humans say I’m sweet, playful, and friendly, which I think means they like me. I do enjoy a good romp and a cuddle. My little white paws, my "frosted tootsies" they call them, are always ready for an adventure, even if that adventure sometimes involves learning not to jump quite so high. And I suspect, with a little training and maybe a fence to keep my curiosity contained, I’ll be the bestest girl you could ever ask for. I'm still learning, but I have a feeling it's going to be a wonderful journey.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
