Clementine's Story

Meet Clementine! Our little red panda (Doesn't she look like one?!). Tiny body. Big personality. And just the right amount of sass.

Clementine has already been through quite a bit, but you certainly wouldn’t know it from the little lady we’re getting to know!

Clementine arrived at Sam’s Place after undergoing surgery, including a spay and mammary mass removal, and shortly after arrival, she gave us another scare that landed her in the hospital. And all on top of being a hoarding case survivor!

Thankfully, this resilient little girl is feeling SO much better now - and with each passing day, we’re seeing more and more of her personality come out.

And apparently... she has opinions.

Clementine may be considered a senior, but she’d like everyone to know that age is just a number. She’s sweet, spunky, increasingly confident, and has even started finding her voice around here. There’s something especially adorable about watching this teeny-tiny girl realize that she’s safe, loved, and perfectly entitled to tell us exactly what she thinks.

Clementine also has luxating patellas, so her future family will need to be mindful of her knees and help her maintain a lifestyle that keeps her comfortable and safe. We recently found her a special pair of leg wraps/supports (We call them her "Chaps"), which help support and stabilize her knees while she moves around. See photo. We’re gradually increasing how long she wears them as she gets used to her fashionable new gear - because, naturally, Queen Clementine requires custom attire!

Her "Chaps" won’t change the underlying condition, but we’re hopeful they’ll give her some extra support and help her continue enjoying life more comfortably. Clementine certainly doesn’t seem interested in letting her knees slow her down!

At just 7 pounds, she’s the perfect little companion for someone looking for a pint-sized best friend with plenty of personality tucked into a very small package.

We’re still learning more about Clementine as she settles in, but one thing is already very clear: this little orange has a whole lot of zest.

*Note: All of Sam's Place dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered and UTD on vaccines and preventatives, unless otherwise noted. We also don't guarantee house training, as they may have accidents in new environments, but please ask about an individual dog for more information.

*Meet Our Pups: https://samscaninerescue.com/group/available/

*Adoption Process: https://samscaninerescue.com/adopt/adoption-process/

*Adoption Application: https://samscaninerescue.com/adopt/application/
- We will contact your vet references to make sure current, or past, pets are spayed/neutered and UTD on vaccines and heartworm prevention.

*For more info, please email our Rescue Administrator at info@samscaninerescue.com or call 207-542-3052

*Location: Southern Pines, NC

*Follow us on social media!
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61572244952067
- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/samsplacecaninerescue/
