Clementine

Update 10/20-Clementine is all about the cuddles and naps inside the home, but outside she comes alive: chasing a ball, demanding to say hi to everyone, running into the river. Despite her age (11) this girl wants to tag along for every adventure. She has a limp so adopters will need to give her a sense of adventure, but not necessarily a 3 mile hike. Currently, she gets short walks around the block, visits to the dog park and car rides with the windows down. Clementine isn’t energetic, she won’t even get up when you walk through the door but she does want to see and do things outside the home. She loves to be outside, she’ll walk and sniff all around the yard and then lay outside in the grass for hours at a time. Being 1/2 malamute her talkative side only comes out in public: she wants people to come say hi to her. We call her the queen as she will wait until you come to her thank you very much. When invited she will jump onto the couch or bed and put her head in your lap & stare into your eyes. Clementine is wonderful with children and gets along with all other dogs but her very own human is what she really wants. Clementine has so much more life to live, and even more love to give a lucky family. <br/><br/>A big girl, 105 pounds, with a heart to match, Clementine loves space since her owner often confined her to a crate too small for her. Despite all she’s been through this girl is a people person who enjoys being around other animals as well. At 10 & ½ years old, a large outdoor space where she could roam and stretch out (she loves naps in the sun) would be a treat. Clementine will be an affectionate, appreciative companion to the fortunate person or family who provides her forever home.
