Clementine Shepherd Brunswick, ME

Clementine is a sweet shepherd mix searching for a forever home! Clementine is a very sweet girl, but she comes with some specific needs. Clementine is from Afghanistan where she lost her eye due to people pelting her with rocks. This has made her shy and scared of new people in the beginning but will slowly warm up once trust is built, she takes a little longer with men than women. She also lost half an ear but the cause is unknown. Due to being a street dog she exhibits resource guarding tendencies and is selective with other dogs, she does not care for other female dogs and should not be in a house with small animals. Her resource guarding has only been towards other animals where she does not want to share her food, treats, toys, or sleeping areas with others. This is understandable due to fighting for resources in Afghanistan. She does not show any resource guarding towards humans. She wants to be loved by her humans and fine share that love with others.
Clementine is housetrained and will ask to go outside when she needs to go. She is also not destructive when left alone, expect her blanket she sleeps with. She is also learning about walking on a leash. She has gotten better at not being reactive when on a leash but will only walk where she wants to walk.

• Time and Patients to show love and how to be a pet
Clementine is truly a sweet dog that would make a kind and patient person very happy. She really loves her people and really wants to be loved as well.
