She prefers lounging in a cozy spot over constant activity and is happiest when life is predictable. She is house trained and sleeps quietly through the night, making her an easy companion once she feels secure.<br/><br/>She absolutely loves other dogs and gains tremendous confidence from having a friendly canine companion. Watching another dog navigate the world helps Claudia relax and learn, so she will do best in a home with a confident, social dog who can show her the ropes.<br/><br/>Every day Claudia grows a little braver. She is making steady progress with leash walking and has come a long way from her first days in foster care. While she is still nervous in open spaces, she is beginning to walk with more confidence instead of panicking. When she feels uncertain, she simply looks for a safe place to settle and observe.<br/><br/>Claudia has shown no interest in bothering the chickens in her foster home and has been polite with the people she has met. She simply needs time to adjust and build trust at her own pace.<br/><br/>Because Claudia can become frightened and may try to run, a securely fenced yard is essential. She is also a flight risk until she is fully comfortable, so her new family will need to be patient, attentive, and committed to helping her feel safe.
