Claude Monet 13576's Story

Claude Monet looks like a dog who was just caught with his snoot in a box of frosted donuts, which is appropriate for an artist who finds most of his inspiration in the form of food and treats. Coupled with expressive white eyebrows, this senior spaniel knows how to convey all of his emotions, including happiness, surprise, contentment, and pleading for treats and cuddles. This furry gentleman is an excellent couch companion, because he's snugglier than a pillow and is also happy to finish up any treats that you don't have room for. Claude just wants a quiet retirement home where he can nap away the rest of his days, so if this sounds like a match made in watercolor heaven, come meet him today!

Here's some notes from his foster:

It appears Claude is deaf in addition to his visual problems. He has a very healthy appetite and is constantly trying for more food. He is very good with other dogs and was in our neighbors apartment with a cat and didn't react. We have had no accidents in the house. Definitely housebroken. He loves people and has taken to all of the staff in our building. He doesn't seem to be able to do stairs>

He is a wonderfully sweet and docile dog. I have been trying to get him outside for as many walks as he wants and is very curious when we go out, sniffing frequently. For a dog his age, he seems to have a good level of energy although at night he wants a least a solid 12 hours of sleep.

I hope he finds a loving stable home soon!
