Clara of Paola’s Pugtatoes's Story

From her loving foster:
"My girl Clara is small but mighty, and has been whooping her bigger brothers since she could walk. She is curious, tough and so funny. Clara is obsessed with her Mama Paola, in a way I have rarely seen in my years of fostering. She will need an older sibling to comfort her through transition into her new home, or, my dream would be to see her adopted with her Mama. After years of breeding, Paola has had puppy after puppy taken from her- what a joy to let her grow old with her beloved daughter!

"Clara is smart and doing extraordinary with potty training- she is using artificial grass pads over potty pads for while I'm at work and midnight potty breaks, but they all go as soon as you take them out as well. These puppies have a super smart and social mama (Dad Tauro, pictured last, was adopted through Red Fern as well) and were born my home. They come with no baggage and have been well socialized, introduced and loved on everyday. They have dog friends of all sizes, and their only fault is no fear!"

Clara is a Colorado native, being fostered in Denver and available to meet!

Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster-to-adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa.

Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.
