Clara's Story

Clara is part of a litter of 11 puppies, along with their mom Merry, that were taken in by our rescue. Joy is now 10 months old. Mom Merry’s DNA was done, and she is a Malinois/Shepherd mix. The puppies all looked so different from each other, so DNA tests were done on a few of them. Two of the DNA tests came back as a pretty equal mix of Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Husky and Malinois. The 3rd came back as 50% Australian shepherd and a mix of Malinois/German shepherd…. So same litter but different dad dogs. While Clara has not had her DNA done, her looks have us putting her in the Golden Retriever/German Shepherd/Malinois/Husky group. <br/>Clara is such beautiful girl with striking coloring. She is a bit smaller than some of her siblings but is definitely one of the leaders of the group. While she is always right in the mix of the group play, she is respectful in her play with the others. She is incredibly sweet and gentle in her interactions with people. She is an active dog that requires daily exercise, and frequent activity so she will need a home where this can happen. Like her brothers and sisters, Clara is always ready to go, she is playful, curious, adorable, cuddly, and always sweet and loving. She likes to take a dip in the kiddie pools but is not as much of a water dog as her siblings. She loves to be petted and be in your lap. She would thrive in a home where she has someone to give her all the love she is looking for. She is good with everyone she meets and good with other dogs. She is curious about the goats at the rescue but has not shown any aggression towards them and has shown little interest in the chickens when they are in their coop. She has not been tested with cats. Clara is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is ready and looking for her perfect family.
