Clancy's Story
This super-sweet guy was reluctantly surrendered after his owner of nearly 14 years passed.

Having been mostly indoors and with one person for the last few years, Clancy did so well at his first adoption event, that you never would have known it. He confidently walked around the store, socialized with other foster dogs and new people without worry. He is accustomed to having human company around most of the time and loves snuggling on laps.

He's never been around children but recently met a couple with no issue. He may do better in a home without small children.

Clancy is almost 14 years old, has a bit of declining vision and has lost most of his teeth. He walks well on leash, travels quietly in his crate, and had been spoiled with all the accessories a dog could have or need. He gets around great, but has been using stairs to navigate the couch. Having spent most of his time inside, he has been using pee pads.

Check back here or on our FB site as we learn more about Clancy.

WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

ADOPTION FEE of $365 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage or our
FB site to find out where we will be this week.

Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
