Claire's Story

Claire is a young beautiful girl that loves to hang out with her people. She is truly an amazing dog that is ready to start a new life with a family that will give her love and nurturing. She is a great walking companion with best-in-class leash manners. Claire has all basic commands mastered (and has been through formal training even). Additionally, she is kennel trained and wants nothing more than to have your 1000% undivided attention. Claire takes treats gently, but gets completely excited for a peanutbutter filled frozen Kong treat! Claire's likes include: dress-up, blueberries, and belly rubs. Claire has so much it makes her have a hard time sharing her people, but she's made big strides. Claire will do best in an only dog home. Slow introductions are advised until she understands you are there to advocate and be her leader. Once she knows you, Claire loves cuddles, praise, and watching a movie together. Forgotten Coast Animal Rescue, inc. attempts to work with everyone who is interested in adopting an animal and giving it a new forever home, however FCAR does reserve the right to refuse an adoption application for reasons including, but not limited to: falsified information on application, current identification and address cannot be verified or if the adoption is not in the best interest of the animal and the adopter. If a potential adopter is interested in scheduling an appointment to see our animals, we ask to submit an adoption application first. We will review their application and contact the applicant within 48 hours to set up an appointment. We work with all interested parties on a first-come-first-served basis. Pet Adoption Requirements • 18 years of age with a current Drivers License or ID • Proof of current address - Drivers License, Utility Bill, Mail, Car Insurance, etc. • Landlord approval if you rent - please verify with your landlord what breed or size restrictions may be in place. • Permission of all adults living at the residence • Current Licensed Veterinarian contact information for reference • Other animals residing with you must be current on vaccinations and dogs must be on heart worm prevention.
