Cindy's Story

Meet Cindy — a terrier–schnauzer mix with a scruffy face, a playful streak, and a whole lot of heart.

Cindy had a rough start in a hoarding situation, but you’d never know it once she settles in. She can be a little shy on a first meet and does best with people who are comfortable letting her take things at her own pace — but give her a bit of time and her fun, playful personality comes right out.

Since being with us, Cindy has made huge progress. She’s more confident, more curious, and clearly enjoying life. She loves to play, absolutely adores other dogs, and really shines when she has a canine buddy around. We think she’d be happiest in a home with another dog to pal around with and help her feel at home.

Cindy is currently in foster care, where she’s been doing great on walks and showing just how easy she is to have around. She’s sweet, silly in her own way, and the kind of dog who bonds deeply once she knows she’s safe.
If you’re someone who appreciates letting a dog warm up naturally — and wants a playful, dog-loving companion — Cindy might be the perfect match.
