Cinder - adopted!'s Story
Hi, I’m Cinder! I’m an 18# Border Collie mix. My foster family says I’m a real gem, and I try to live up to that reputation every single day.

If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m affectionate, playful, curious, and a little bit cautious. I’m not overly bold or pushy - I like to take in the world, think about it, and then join in. I’m also very biddable, which means I like to listen and learn from my people. Mostly, though, I really love people and playing with anyone willing to spend time with me, whether they have 2- or 4-legs.

I have a medium energy level and want to stay active but also enjoy downtime. I would be happiest with a moderately active family who wants a best friend to do things with like walks, outings, training, playing in the yard, or just being part of everyday life. I would love a fenced yard, but I can also do just fine without one as long as I’m kept safe on a leash.

I would probably do well with elementary aged kids, especially if they are kind and respectful. I’d also enjoy having a canine sibling to play with, but it’s not required as long as I’m included in family activities. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them.

Right now I’m working hard on house training and normal puppy things like not chewing things I shouldn’t. I do fine in a crate - I might whine a little at first, but I settle down. I’m also doing well on leash and really enjoy getting out and about. My foster mom owns a dog training school, so I’ve been around lots of people, dogs, and activity, and I really enjoy seeing new things.

Mostly, I’m just a sweet girl who wants a family to love, play with, and grow up with. Would you like to meet me?

Cinder is being fostered in Minneapolis , MN.

Cinder's adoption fee is $550 + MN sales tax. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She will be spayed & microchipped at the age of 6 months; the cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
