Cicero is an AKC registered Bracco Italiano who came to Sky Sanctuary after being left behind with a trainer. His owner never returned. By the time he arrived in our care, he was overwhelmed with anxiety and emotionally shut down. His body reflected his stress. He was frail and unable to gain weight while living in constant uncertainty.<br/><br/>The moment Cicero entered the sanctuary, something beautiful began to happen.<br/><br/>With safety, routine, and consistency, his nervous system started to settle. His eyes softened. His trust slowly began to return. And little by little, Cicero showed us who he truly is. A goofy, goofy boy who gallops and prances across the yard like a baby deer, full of awkward charm and quiet joy.<br/><br/>Cicero is still learning. He is fearful, but so desperate to trust. He wants connection. He wants to belong. And he is trying every single day. Although he made remarkable progress with us, we knew Cicero deserved even more support to build confidence, learn basic obedience, and fully step into his potential. He is now in a professional board and train program with our wonderful friends at Sofus Dog Training, where he is doing wonderfully.<br/><br/>We are beyond excited to watch Cicero continue to grow into the confident, happy dog he was always meant to be.
