Ciara's Story
Meet Ciara: a 55 pound, 11 month-old dark chocolate lab/retriever mix with the heart of a romantic comedy lead and absolutely no concept of personal space.

You know the phrase love fiercely? Ciara didnt just hear itshe made it her life motto. She greets you with full-body wiggles so enthusiastic they should probably require a seatbelt. Gone for two hours? Heros welcome. Stepped out of the bathroom for 30 seconds? Tears of joy. Returned from checking the mail? She thought shed lost you forever. She really enjoys being around her humans and hopes to be in a home where she isnt left alone too long.

Ciaras preferred method of affection is showering you in kisses from forehead to chin while staring into your soul like you are the greatest thing to ever happen to her. And honestly? She means it.

Because her love is large and in charge, Ciara would do best in a home that can help her learn that tiny humans sometimes prefer gentle adoration over being enthusiastically adored at full speed. The good news? Ciara takes correction from humans very well and wants nothing more than to please her people, so shes a wonderful student. Shes still young, eager to learn, and very motivated by making her people happy. She knows how to sit and likes to be treated for her efforts.

When shes not busy worshipping her humans, Ciara loves playing with her foster dog siblings. Shes social, respectful, and takes cues beautifully from dogs of all sizes. Ciara is equal-opportunity playmate material.

Shes also beginning to discover the joys of chew toys and is becoming more interested every day. She wears a harness on walks and is doing great learning to walk the neighborhood with her foster siblings.

She was spayed on May 19th and is recovering nicely.

If youre looking for a loyal and sweet companion who will love you like its her full-time job, Ciara is ready to clock in.

---
To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html
