Chuvy's Story

Age requirement 21 years old<br/>Chuvy is in a foster home located in Ft Worth TX<br/>Transport is arranged by our rescue post adoption<br/><br/>We at Abby Road Rescue and sister rescue Furry Sidekick Rescue are honored to be working alongside Karen Perl, who has worked tirelessly to save dogs in need. While these dogs are not directly in our rescue care, we are courtesy posting on her behalf to help them find the loving homes they deserve. <br/><br/>Application is required. He was found as a stray in Dallas and ended up in a high killed shelter in Dallas. I am his foster for over a year now no fault of his own as he is a total sweetheart! <br/><br/>He is up-to-date on all his shots and his heartworm negative. He is thought to be two to two and a half years old. He is crate trained and he is potty trained. He loves to go for car rides and loves to play out in his yard. He is dog friendly with both male and female dogs along with medium and large dogs. He is not had a lot of exposure to small or toy sized dogs. He is friendly to male and female humans along with children. <br/><br/>He likes to go for car rides and loves to have his ears scratched, his belly scratched, and his backside scratched. He is very sweet and very dainty although he does have a resting face that makes him look mean. He is not mean at all, but he’s actually extremely sweet and extremely loving. <br/><br/>His ideal home could be a single person or a couple or a family with children. He loves to be included in your daily adventures and enjoys playing in his fenced yard. He knows commands including sit, come, heel for leash walking, and taking treats nicely to gentle or nice. This sweet little man needs his forever home and would make a wonderful loving buddy!<br/><br/>On behalf of Karen Perl, the adoption fee is $350. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same. Thank you so much for your valuable support in helping these dogs find loving homes.

Abby Road Rescue Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
Submitting your application – that's Step 1 Step 2: Group Text Introduction We’ll start a group text chat with the dog’s foster or rescuer. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know more about the dog. If you'd like, we can also set up a video meet-and-greet through our phones for a more personal connection. Step 3: Virtual Home Visit We'll schedule a Google Meet or FaceTime call to virtually tour your home. We'll need to see common living areas and the yard—no need to show bedrooms. Please have a piece of mail with your address visible during the call. After this step I will call your references. Step 4: Adoption Contract Once everything checks out, I’ll submit your application to the board along with my recommendation for approval. While the final decision is up to them, they typically go with my recommendation. Step 5: Final Details This step includes a conversation about ownership, adoption fees, any applicable deposits, and transport arrangements (if needed) could be 5-30 days depending on time frame.
