Chunky's Story

Chunky is a sweet pibble (AKA potato-on-legs, house hippo) who came to us after health issues of his owner prevented him from caring for the Chunkster. While at CHA, he enjoys the company of calm dogs and his previous owner stated he was good with cats, chickens and ducks. Chunky is food motivated, and keeps a clean kennel but any dog in a new environment needs patience during the adjustment period in a new home. Come and meet Chunky today. He has stolen the hearts of staff, pehaps he would steal yours!

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal. Our adoption fees are currently: Adoption applications can be filled out ahead of time and brought with you by visiting http://www.chaanimalshelter.org/adoption/. Adoption Fees: Kittens (8 weeks to 4 months): $85.00 Cats (5 months and up): $45.00 Puppies (8 weeks to 4 months): $300.00 Dogs (5 months and up): $175.00 All adoption fees include microchip, spay/neuter, and age and time appropriate vaccinations.
