Chunkerbutt's Story

Meet Chunkerbutt! She is the gray faced one with a tiny stripe of white down her nose

(Only the 3 labeled puppies in the 2nd photo are available. The others in the picture are spoken for.)

Some puppies are ready to party 24/7. Chunkerbutt? She believes in a much healthier work-life balance... with a heavy emphasis on the nap part.

This laid-back little lady loves sleeping in, snoozing through just about anything, and finding the perfect spot to catch some Zs. Honestly, she can fall asleep almost anywhere! When she’s awake, she enjoys interactive toys, but she’s also perfectly content watching her siblings play or enjoying a little fish tank entertainment. Sometimes the best activity is simply supervising everyone else!

Chunkerbutt gets along great with her 90-pound foster sister and is still learning all about being a well-mannered pup. She has a pretty enthusiastic puppy play-biting habit, but she responds well to redirection and chew toys. Potty training is also just getting started, so her future family should be prepared to keep working on those puppy basics.

One little quirk to know: she appreciates having some personal space during her first meal of the day. She isn’t aggressive, and this isn't an issue the rest of the day, but her family should respect her space and continue building good mealtime habits.

If you’re looking for a sweet pup who can entertain herself, enjoy a little playtime, and then happily snooze beside you, Chunkerbutt might be your girl!

Apply to adopt at adoptapal.org/adopt
Adoption fee is $400.

Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
