Chunk's Story

Chunk (affectionately known as Moo) was surrendered when his family was forced to move. They were devastated to surrender this gentle giant, and he is struggling to understand his new circumstances.

Chunk is an apt name for this boy due to his size, but he is a sweet boy who is shy when meeting new people. He investigates the yard but is never far from his humans. His leash skills are good and he enjoys his walks. He would much rather roll over for belly rubs, though! Sometimes he forgets that he is a bit large to be a lap dog when he tries to crawl into your lap.

This loving boy would be a wonderful companion for a family that is willing to work with his shyness and allow him to develop at his own speed. They will get a lifelong, affectionate and charming new member.

The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
This link will take you to our adoption application.
https://capemaycountynj.gov/DocumentCenter/View/5814/Adoption-Application
