Then check out this opportunity to FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT with Canine Haven Rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization in the GTA. We can only help bring these dogs out of shelters if we have a foster (or foster to adopt) home for them. Fostering is free, all supplies are provided, and you get the opportunity to help a deserving dog! If you foster to adopt, you will have the option to adopt after approximately 2 weeks. <br/><br/>More about Chucky: <br/>Good with dogs: Yes, but would like to meet them first.<br/>Good with Cats: Unknown - Has not met any yet<br/>Children: 10+ due to size and puppy energy<br/>* Will be neutered once in foster care <br/><br/>Chucky arrived at the Peterborough Shelter alongside his brother, Boris, through no fault of their own. Like his brother, Chucky was very nervous when he first came in-unsure of people and hesitant about touch. Since then, he's made wonderful progress and is really starting to show his true personality.<br/><br/>Of the two, Chucky tends to come across as the more confident brother. He's often the first to warm up to new experiences and environments, showing a curious and thoughtful approach to the world around him. While he still benefits from patience and gentle encouragement, he's proven that he's ready and willing to take those brave steps forward.<br/><br/>One of Chucky's biggest strengths is his love of treats! He is extremely food-motivated, which makes training and confidence-building both fun and effective. With a dedicated family, this will be such a valuable tool in helping him continue to grow into a well-rounded dog.<br/><br/>Chucky is looking for a home that understands the commitment of bringing a puppy into the family and is prepared for all the learning and growth that comes with it. As a large, livestock-type breed, he will grow into a big, strong dog who thrives with space and time spent outdoors. A home that can offer him room to explore, stay active, and continue building his confidence will be ideal.<br/>Chucky is already well on his way to becoming a confident, loyal companion-he just needs the right people to help guide him the rest of the way.<br/><br/>MY IDEAL HOME COULD INCLUDE:<br/>Other dogs: Yes, but I would like to meet them first.<br/>Cats: It is possible, although I have not met any during my time here.<br/>Children: 10+<br/><br/>Give this sweet pup a chance at a beautiful life and finding their forever family in Canada.
