Chucklette's Story

The Story:
Hello! Im Chucklette and I had a rough go of it for a while. Not sure what happened because I was found almost passed out and defeated on the banks of Lake Mayers stream by the road. Some nice people found me and got in touch with Coastal Pet Rescue who stepped in to help. I was tired, hot, malnourished, and thirsty! I was brought to a kennel with a bed! And food! Fresh water! I was so relieved. I drank a lot of water and ate some food and went to rest on the cool bed.
Whats Going on Now:
Ive been in a foster home for about a month now, and my foster family loves me very much! They want to continue fostering others like me in need, so I am looking for my permanent home.
What Youll Get:
I come with much love! I will be your best friend, protector (Im not mean, (Im a big girl and I can pretend to look mean for you), and companion for life. I appreciate the simple things in life: a couch, a walk, and a toy or two. Im a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I am a baby and will sit in your lap (or a chair) if you let me! I can walk on a leash nicely and if you want to run or jog Im down for that, too!
I happen to LOVE my crate and will happily go into it. Its my safe space and great for naps. Just remember, Im a big girl so I need lotsa room - a big crate is a must!
I get along with my foster dog siblings, my foster cat siblings, and human kiddo in the home!
Im still working on potty training and have gotten much better. My foster mom likes to put a diaper on me to help me train but if Im in the crate I dont have to wear one because I never make a mess in there!
I like to play hide-and-seek in the bushes. I think its because I was on the run for so long I naturally gravitate towards shade and places to hide.
I like all foods and can eat in the same room as my foster siblings. We are all friendly and try to swap food, to my foster moms chagrin.
What Ill Get:
A place to truly call home. My humans. My life! Please give me a chance. Ill never give up on you even though humans had once given up on me.

Check out Chucklette's appearance on WSAV as pet of the week:
https://www.wsav.com/video/pet-of-the-week-meet-chucklette/10926427/

Coastal Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected). Out of Area Coastal Pet Rescue does not ship or "transport" animals out of area. All adopters must be available to come to Savannah, GA to complete the adoption after approval. Microchip: CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf. Adoption Fees: Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
