Chu Chu's Story

Meet Chu Chu the sweet senior Boxer! <br/><br/>Chu Chu has been a blessing her foster Marjroie didn't know she needed, pure joy every morning when let her out of her crate. Boxer "pirouettes" and wholebody smiles as she runs to the door so she can share her "I pottied" dance. She is the epitome of "happy" happy to have a routine of guaranteed meals, happy to be loved on, to the point of "Chu Chu you don't need to be in my lap 24/7" lol. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, especially men in hats, but Marjorie's dogwalker takes his hat off before he comes inside and they are best buddies now. <br/><br/>From afraid to walk at the the shelter, to "slowdown don't knock me over" she has shown how much a safe loving foster home can change a dog's life for the better in six weeks. <br/><br/>"I adore this girl, she was my first foster after losing my Glory girl in December. I am so glad I opened my heart to her, she has helped me heal from what I thought was "I can't foster again" to "momma you needed me as much as I needed you" " - Marjorie <br/><br/>She is dog and cat friendly, I think she actually prefers the cat over her dog siblings. The cat leaves crumbs on the floor for her, and you can often find them snuggling together in the " is it a cat bed or a small dog bed with room for a cat" bed.<br/><br/>Someone adopt this diamond in the ruff! <br/><br/>Adoption application:<br/>FriendsofFaye.com

Friends of Faye's Adoption Policy
We do require most of our adopters to have securely fenced yards. However, some of our dogs may be considered for homes with smaller enclosures (i.e. secure patios) and we do occasionally adopt to apartment-style homes or homes without fenced yards. All applicants are considered on a case by case basis and selection of dogs appropriate for these homes is often limited. Puppies will not be adopted to homes where they will be left alone for too many consecutive hours on a regular basis. All dogs will be primarily inside dogs living as members of their family – no dogs will live strictly outside or in garages. No dog will be kept on a chain at any time, for any reason. All dogs will be provided with adequate fresh food and water, clean, dry shelter when outside, and daily exercise. All dogs will be provided a safe collar with ID tags to be worn at all times. All adoptive families will obey all applicable laws governing control and custody of animals. All adoptive families will provide medical care as prescribed by their veterinarian including but not limited to; yearly exams, HEARTWORM PREVENTION, vaccinations and unscheduled treatment for any illness/injury. All dogs will be adopted only as a personal companion and not as a gift, working animal or guard dog. All dogs will be returned to Friends of Faye should it be necessary to find another home for the dog. No dog will be given away for any reason at any point in their lives. Friends of Faye assumes no responsibility nor shall they be held liable for any damages caused by the adopted animal to property, person or other pets. If any medical problems occur after adoption, Friends of Faye is not liable for medical bills. If you have other pets, they must be spayed or neutered if you adopt from Friends of Faye. As well, your other pets must be up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. To help ensure that we place our dogs in loving, responsible, and committed homes, we have an application and screening process. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.
