Meet Chrome — The Sweet Girl Still Learning to Trust!
Located in Rutherfordton, NC
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Age: 4 years
Size: Large

Chrome came to Camp Patriot as a young, frightened owner surrender who hadn't yet learned to trust people or walk confidently on a leash. She's come a long way since — she's affectionate, friendly, gentle, and an absolute snuggler once she feels safe with you. In fact, one visiting vet got so attached during a routine visit that she said she'd have taken Chrome home on the spot if circumstances had allowed.

She's completely at ease with everyone she meets, men and women alike — she's spent plenty of time with our onsite team and the all-female vet staff who've cared for her. Chrome does need a little extra patience: she's the kind of girl who blooms once she knows she can trust you, so the right home is one ready for a bit of a trust-building journey rather than an instant easygoing companion. She gets along great with other dogs. She hasn't been tested yet with cats, kids, or other animals, so we can't speak to those just yet.

Ideal Home:

Someone patient and experienced with nervous or shy dogs
A calm, steady household where she can build confidence at her own pace
A canine companion would be a welcome bonus

Chrome is spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccination.

Interested in adopting Chrome?
