He enjoys playing with toys, chewing on bones, solving puzzles, wrestling with dog friends, and then curling up for a nap nearby. Hes house trained, crate trained, and can relax quietly while his people work. He sleeps well through the night and loves being part of the daily routine.<br/><br/>While Christmas is thriving in foster care, weve learned something important about him:<br/><br/>He is not a city dog.<br/><br/>The constant sights, sounds, smells, people, and dogs of NYC keep him perpetually on high alert. Outside, he becomes overstimulated quickly and struggles to focus on his handler, making walks stressful for both him and the person holding the leash. He isnt looking for troublehes simply taking in everything around him all at once.<br/><br/>Because of this, we believe Christmas would be happiest in a quieter suburban or rural home where he doesnt have to navigate the chaos of city life every day.
