Christina's Story

Christina is an adorable young Chihuahua looking for a loving home. She weighs 11 pounds and is estimated to be around 1-2 years old.

Christina came to our rescue from a hoarding situation in Connecticut. Despite a difficult start, she is a happy, active little girl with an incredibly sweet and trusting personality. She loves chasing toys, playing with other dogs, and spending time with people. Christina is very friendly and social with both dogs and humans.

Christina has a neurological condition that causes some trembling, coordination issues, and occasional high stepping. Her condition may be congenital, meaning she was likely born this way. We are unsure if these issues will become worse over time so continued vet visits will be important

Even with these challenges, Christina enjoys life to the fullest. She can sometimes become dizzy when being picked up, so we recommend that handlers move slowly and gently to help her adjust comfortably.

She is scheduled to be spayed next month, is up to date on vaccinations, and recently had full blood work.

If you're interested in adopting Christina, please submit an application on our website.
