Chris - Partridge Family's Story
Chris is the kind of dog who makes you fall in love before you even realize it.
He's a sweet, smart, food-motivated boy who is eager to learn and thrives with consistency and structure.

Most of the day, Chris is a mellow companion who settles nicely and entertains himself with chew toys... but once a day he usually gets the funniest little burst of zoomies and puppy energy before crashing back into cuddle mode.

Chris loves:
Exploring the woods
Playing fetch
Being with his people
Snacks and training time

Like many young dogs, Chris is still learning manners and confidence. He can get mouthy and overexcited during play, so a home without small children would likely be best right now. He's also continuing to work on leash skills, car rides, and kennel-training.
The good news? He's incredibly smart and already showing so much improvement with patient guidance and training.
Chris has SO much potential and such a loving heart — he just needs someone committed to giving him the time and consistency he deserves.
His foster family absolutely adores him and is happy to continue working with him until the perfect forever home comes along. They have even sponsored his training and have started his classes already.

From the Partridge Family Litter!
~7+ month old mixed breed originally from Aniak. DNA test shows 43+% Alaskan Malamute, 30+% Labrador Retriever, and other breeds sprinkled in for the rest!

ADOPT:
If you'd like to adopt, please take the first step by completing our Adoption Application! https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24218/generic. KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (spayed/neutered, age-appropriately vaccinated for Distemper/Parvo, Rabies if old enough, microchipped, etc.). There will be an adoption fee of $350 + tax so that we can continue to help other animals in need. KPAL Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue based in Kenai/Soldotna, AK. Adopters should be willing to travel here to adopt as we do not allow for third party transportation. As a foster-based organization, we do not have a kennel facility you can visit.
