Chopper's Story

Chopper is a 3-year-old Border Collie who is looking for a home that understands the drive and intelligence of her breed. She is fully house-trained, has no separation anxiety, and thrives when she has a clear routine and a job to do.
In the house, Chopper is a dedicated companion who loves being close to her people and enjoys affection. Outdoors, her true athletic nature comes out. She has a high work drive and focuses intensely on interactive games, especially fetching balls and catching frisbees. Chopper is house-trained and settles down well inside when her physical and mental exercise needs are met. When meeting new people, she can be selective and prefers to take her time getting to know them rather than being rushed into interaction. Because of her natural herding instincts, she will chase small animals and is not suitable for a home with prey animals or birds. With other dogs, she is selective and requires slow, structured introductions.
She is a smart, capable dog who forms a strong bond once she trusts you. She is steady in her routine and brings a lot of focused energy to her handler.
Chopper would do best with an experienced owner who understands herding breeds and enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. A home with a fenced yard or someone dedicated to daily fetch sessions and mental stimulation would be an ideal match for her.
She is a focused companion who is ready to transition into a structured, active household.
