Chonkers's Story

A059873 Chonkers; neutered male Anatolian Shepherd mix; est.9 years; 113 lbs
Contact : Calaveras County Animal Services (209)754-6509

Meet Chonkers! This big guy deserves a loving home to thrive in. He is such a sweet, friendly guy, very good with all dogs. We love his combination of confidence and calm. He's a lover not a fighter. When other dogs bark madly at him, he just gives them a sniff and turns calmly away. He likes attention from his human friends, and enjoys having his luxuriously thick coat brushed.

Found straying around Sheep Ranch and Mountain Ranch Road, Chonkers was obviously being (over) fed, but no one has come forward in spite of our attempts to find an owner. We hope anyone who recognizes Chonkers will contact us.

A healthy lifestyle with appropriate meals and exercise will surely result in a much more svelte Chonkers. Perhaps his new family will want to name him Flash or something. We look forward to hearing that, if so! Hey, maybe he and his new family will em-BARK on a new health journey together...

Chonkers is very housebroken; we make sure to get him out early for potty walks. Such a good boy!

Chonkers is neutered and can go home with you right away.

We do not have info on his attitude toward cats ? at this time.

A meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.
