Choco's Story

www.huskyrescueteam.org

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgMeet Choco
Short for chocolate chip cookies (yes, really), Choco got his name after a shelter mix-up landed him with the label “Miss Cookies and Cream.” But this little guy isn’t here for labels—he’s here for love.

Estimated at 1–2 years old and just 41 lbs, Choco is a smaller-statured Husky mix with a splash of mystery, a whole lot of quirk, and amber eyes that sparkle—with flecks of blue in the right one, as if someone sprinkled a little magic into his gaze.

Choco came in as a stray, nearly out of time due to shelter overcrowding. But fate intervened, and now he’s safe, cherished, and discovering the joy of being silly. At first timid, he’s now full of personality—goofy, quirky, and very vocal. He sings the song of his people loudly and proudly (especially when he wants attention or suspects snacks are nearby).

With a coat that’s still recovering from his time on the streets, Choco will need regular brushing and grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. We’re working gently through the mats in hopes of avoiding a shave, but his future family should be ready for some serious fluff maintenance.

Choco thrives around other dogs and needs a playful pup buddy in his forever home, along with a secure fenced yard for safe zoomies. His current crew helped him learn that humans can be kind, and now he’s embracing affection, friendship, and fun.

DNA is pending, but soul? That’s pure sweetness, mixed with just the right amount of sass.

If you’re looking for a cookie-sized sidekick with a big voice, goofy charm, and a heart ready to heal—Choco might be your perfect match.

Choco is being fostered in NC but transport within the Eastern US is available. He is neutered, heartworm negative, current on his vaccines and microchipped. More at www.huskyrescueteam.org/choco~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org
