Chocko's Story

Chocko is an approximately 2-3 year-old, 17-lb cutie patootie. Based on his size, his color and his curly fur our best breed guess is chihuahua poodle mix. Chocko was found as a stray and no one reclaimed him. When he got to our rescue, it was clear his teeth needed attention. He has since had a dental cleaning and two cracked teeth removed. With a healthy mouth, he's now feeling better and letting his true personality shine! He is a sweetheart who will gently demand belly rubs and cuddle in your lap. He is also playful, loves his soft chew toys and independently chases his ball around! He would love a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can have supervised run around time as he loves spending time with his humans and is still practicing walking nicely on a leash. He is dog-friendly and would be great with a doggy sibling around his size or as an only pet. He has not been tested with kids but based on his personality, we would consider homes with respectful kids 10+. He is learning to distinguish his toys from household items that are not meant to be chewed and would do well in a home where his humans are home most of the time to encourage his better habits. He is house-trained but like any dog may have accidents in his new home until he settles into his new routine. He sleeps through the night in his crate and goes in his crate willingly when he needs to be left home alone. If you are interested in meeting Chocko the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Chocko is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
