Southern preacher went on craigslist looking for an older dog that would not outlive him, and he found Chloe. He had Chloe for three weeks when he noticed she was getting very fat so he took her to the vet and discovered that she was pregnant! At his age, he did not think that he could manage Chloe and her litter so the vet veterinarian gave him our number.<br/><br/>We took Chloe into our care so that she could wean her Puppies and our plans were to return her, but during the time that she was weaning, her human realized he really couldn't afford to keep her.<br/><br/>Chloe weighed 11 1/2 pounds in June. She's a little thick from eating her food and her puppies food. <br/><br/>Chloe is about 7 years old, she's sweet to the ones she loves and protective (barky) with strangers. She made it her job to protect her home and humans! <br/><br/>Shes still active and playful. She enjoys time outside and time on the back of a couch. She's good with cats and dogs. She's good on a leash, but we'd prefer she has a fence to keep her safe while napping on the sun.<br/><br/>Amazon has lightweight and easy to build fencing for the price of an adoption fee. We use it in rescue all the time. Not recommended for climbers, diggers, or strong dogs, but perfect for smaller dogs. <br/><br/>Chloe is spayed, heartworm, negative, rabies, other vaccines, dewormed, microchip, and she receives monthly parasite prevention.
