Chloe's Story

Apply to Adopt Me!

Chloe is an 8yo, 6 1/2lb. Yorkie/Yorkie mix. She is special in many ways. Chloe is a tripod, having her front left leg amputated in 2019. But she doesn’t know that’s a handicap - she still has lots of energy and is a fast runner. This sweet girl has never met a stranger. She is one of the most outgoing, loving dogs you will ever meet - whether it be people, other dogs or cats. Chloe is house trained as long as she is taken out every few hours, but will also use a pee pad. She walks great on a leash and loves to go for walks, and is a very good passenger in a car (but of course should always be tethered in, a booster seat would be best for her). Her favorite thing to do is sit on your lap chilling while you watch tv. She loves being held and hugged and hugs you right back. Chloe just started playing with toys, and enjoys playing tug-o-war with stuffies. If she wants something, she will be sure to bark to tell you. She came to our rescue as a neglected owner surrender with long, matted fur and long nails. The groomer had to shave her and she feels much better and is even more spunky. (She did very well at the groomers.) Now she’s even more spunky without those lung nails in the way. Chloe is a great eater, but s

he’s not much for dry kibble on its own, but loves wet food, and the refrigerated dog food. Chicken jerky seems to be her favorite treat if broken up into little pieces for her tiny mouth and teeth. Chloe has never needed to be crated or secluded when left home alone. She seemed to make herself at home on her first day with her foster. Chloe’s favorite place to sleep at night is in the human bed under the covers. One of her favorite places to perch is on the back of the couch like a cat. Due to her size, we are requiring an all-adult home and a small fenced space. She will need daily brushing and regular grooming. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Chloe, complete an app and tell us more about you.
