Chiva's Story

Chiva is a calm & cuddly 10 year old Portuguese Podengo with a soft wire coat and soulful brown eyes. He was returned after several years in a home, due to the death of his owner. He is on the small side at around 35 pounds, a mellow guy who's perfect in the house and loves a good belly rub. He enjoys people, and especially bonds with men. Chiva would do best as an only dog, though he could potentially tolerate another calm senior. He is not a good fit with cats, and children can make him uneasy. A fenced yard to potter around in and some soft spots to nap near his people would make him a happy dog.Please complete and send in an application, available at www.greyhound.org, to set up an introductory appointment.
