Chit Chat *special needs*'s Story

Chit Chat has quite the story but somehow she's still the happiest one in the room! This 5-year-old, 20-pound girl was found as a stray completely paralyzed in her back legs. How she managed to survive out there on her own, we'll never know but what we do know is that she's tougher than she looks!

It's likely Chit Chat was used for breeding for much of her life, and when her back legs stopped working, she was discarded. Despite everything, she has held onto the sweetest, most loving personality. She's gentle, friendly, and has this easy, happy way about her that makes people instantly fall for her.

Chit Chat likely has IVDD and no longer has sensation in her back end, which means she isn't in pain, and she truly lives like it. She zooms around using her strong front legs like a pro, cruises happily in her wheelchair, and fully enjoys stroller rides like the little queen she is. She doesn't sit on the sidelines of life, she participates in it!

She loves people, does great with other dogs, and is just genuinely happy to be included in whatever is going on. Car ride? She's in. Hanging out on the couch? Perfect. Getting attention? Her favorite. She's the kind of dog who just wants to be near you, part of your day and part of your life.

Chit Chat does need her bladder expressed a few times a day since she can't go on her own. It sounds intimidating at first, but it's very manageable once you learn, and we'll make sure you feel completely comfortable before she goes home.

What she's really looking for is someone who sees her for who she is not what she's missing. Someone who's around often, willing to learn, and ready to love a dog who gives it right back tenfold. Chit Chat has every reason not to trust the world, but she does anyway. And that kind of spirit is rare. If you're ready for a dog who will make you smile every single day, Chit Chat is ready for you! Please inquire today!
