Chisel's Story
Straight from the toolbox and ready to help fix your broken heart! Introducing our Toolbox Litter, five goofy, happy-go-luck black lab mix brothers: Lug Nut, Chisel, Hammer, Bolt, and Ratchet. These boys made the trip north from an extremely overcrowded shelter in South Carolina and are now ready to find families of their very own.

Like any good set of tools, each of these pups has their own personality, but they all share one thing in common — they are typical happy, wiggly, goofy lab mix puppies who are just thrilled to be alive. Whether they’re tumbling over each other during playtime or soaking up attention from their humans, these boys are guaranteed to keep you smiling.

They are currently settling into foster care where they will be working on socialization, potty training, and crate training. As with all puppies, their future families should be ready to continue that training and provide the structure and consistency puppies need to grow into great adult dogs. Puppies are adorable, but they are also a lot of work, so we’re looking for committed adopters who are ready for the time, patience, and energy that comes with raising a young dog.

All five boys are fostered with other dogs and do great with them, and they also do well with children. They could also live with cats as long as introductions are done slowly and properly.

Before heading to their forever homes, each puppy will be fully vetted, including age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and spay/neuter when appropriate.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a goofy best friend, and a lifetime of laughs, one of these little tools might just be the missing piece in your toolbox.

Apply: www.freedomfirstrescue.com/chisel
