He’s very shy at first and will need a patient, understanding home willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe. But beneath that timid exterior is a truly sweet soul just waiting to bloom.<br/><br/>He came in as a stray alongside his best friend, Salsa, and the two share a special bond. They take comfort in each other, and Chips would absolutely love to find a home where they can stay together.<br/><br/>When Chips first arrived, he was severely matted and clearly uncomfortable, so he had to get a fresh (and temporary!) haircut to help him feel better. Now that he’s on the mend, he’s starting to show little glimpses of the loving dog he’s meant to be.<br/><br/>Chips may not run up to you right away—but once you earn his trust, the reward is something truly special.
