Chippy's Story

Meet Chippy!

Also known as Sir Chippy Chip, Chip Storm, Mister Chill, and whatever other nickname he earns that day, Chippy is 10 years old, 18 pounds, and an absolute professional at taking life easy.

Chippy’s favorite activities include leisurely walks, hanging out with his people, and locating the best rug in any room for a nap. Kitchen rug? Perfect. Bathroom rug? Even better. Office rug? Consider it claimed. He has a wonderfully calm presence and somehow makes everything around him feel a little more relaxed.

He’s friendly with other dogs and currently shares his foster home with a much more energetic pup who thinks Chippy is the greatest thing ever. Chippy is patient with the attention but also knows how to politely communicate when he’s ready for some personal space. He could happily live with another dog who respects his laid-back style.

Chippy enjoys getting outside and taking his time on walks, stopping to sniff, look around, and greet dogs along the way. He’s even been picking up the pace by following his foster sibling’s lead, so there’s still plenty of pep in this little senior when the mood strikes.

At home, Chippy is exactly the kind of companion people hope for in a senior dog: sweet, easygoing, affectionate, and happy just being included. He doesn’t need constant entertainment or a packed schedule. Give him a cozy spot, some love, a few good walks, and a place near his people, and he’s content.

Chippy would be perfect for someone looking for a gentle best friend who already understands that the best parts of life are good company, slow mornings, and a really comfortable place to nap.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
