Chip's Story

This golden goofball is Chip—a big, bouncy 3-year-old mixed-breed mystery mutt who’s got the heart of a pup and the face of your favorite grandpa. Found as a stray in Georgia, Chip showed up skinny, heartworm positive, and down on his luck. But don’t worry—this comeback king got the royal treatment, beat heartworms like a champ, and is now living his best life up north while he searches for his forever couch (ahem, we mean home).

He’s a charming guy with luscious golden locks, soulful eyes, and a permanent “I just woke up from a nap” expression. Despite the distinguished mug, Chip's energy is all zoomies, tail wags, and belly flops.

Chip is a social butterfly when it comes to meeting other dogs out and about—he enjoys having doggie friends to hang with—but he’d prefer to be the only animal in his home. He’s the kind of pup who’ll make you laugh with his goofy antics, ridiculous sleeping positions, and dramatic sighs when he doesn’t get his way.

Now, full transparency—Chip isn’t a huge fan of sharing his food or treats. Everything else? No problem! But when it comes to snack time, he prefers a little personal space. We totally get it (who doesn’t get hangry?), and we’re working with him on polite mealtime manners.

Thanks to a kind sponsor from our community, Chip's adoption fee is already paid.
