Pls see foster report below. <br/><br/>If you have not already noticed our lovely 2 tone fluffy girl Chikita, it's time you considered her today! Just 10mos old, arriving as a shy girl, while she still has some bashful moments, Chikita is doing terrific! She's open to all over body rubs and hugs and has done well in doggy play groups. Everyone reaches for our pretty lady knowing it's going to be a fine time, with such a lovely lady. Randomly, Chikita still has some awkward moments of uncertainty but she's all sugar and spice and everything nice. And yes, she will love you "bunches." LOL. ĀHer foster mom has been taking her out for lots of walks along the lake and boy does she love wading into the cool water! ĀIn addition, Āher foster mom gave her a bath, they had napĀtime together, a yummyĀcheese snack and time with new toys! Read her notes below then let us know how soon you'd like to meet her. ĀI want to make sure she does not miss an opportunity to be adopted, it’s very clear how special she is.<br/><br/>Here are some details I’ve noted from just the day and night with her:<br/><br/>Chikita (we call her Arya/Arry, like from Game of Thrones)<br/>Day 1/Night 1: <br/>· Absolutely loves the lake, bones, walks, naps, and quietly watching the birds outside<br/>· A little nervous about bath time (mostly the sound of water hitting the tub; same with dishes) and sudden noises or movements, though she’s already building confidence<br/>· Took some coaxing with the indoor stairs at first, needed to be carried, then bravely tackled them on her own after breakfast<br/>· Such a polite girl—doesn’t get on furniture at all<br/>· Hasn’t barked or howled yet, though she did growl at the TV once when a villain from Game of Thrones appeared (very protective!)<br/>· Did beautifully in her crate and didn’t whine at all while drying from her bath<br/><br/>She went to sleep around 11 pm and slept peacefully on her bed all night with no accidents. I woke up to her playing with her toy, still curled up in her bed, and took her to the bathroom at 8:45 am.<br/><br/>Foster Update May 31: Let's take yet another look at Pretty Lady CHIKITA!<br/><br/>Folks, this post has a lot of detail thanks to her foster. She earned a AAAA Rating and now, it's time for someone just like YOU to come and please give her a chance at a full time pet job.<br/><br/>Foster Update: Chikita: Foster Review<br/><br/>First things first: we started calling her Arya, or Arry, like Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, because people kept calling her Shakira. <br/><br/>Energy & Exercise<br/>She loves to run, and she needs a home that can keep up with her. A yard is ideal, but a long daily walk works too. We run the dikes in Clemson together off-leash and she stays within a few steps the whole time, ahead or behind. She is genuinely loyal that way. On walks she likes to stop and sniff everything, but she redirects right away with a snap of the fingers. Give her a few minutes to wander before expecting her to use the bathroom, and know that she almost never goes number two on leash unless she really has to.<br/><br/>Social & Leash<br/>She loves other dogs so much it can look like a problem on leash. If she barks or whines near another dog, she is not being aggressive, she just wants to play. She has been around adults and elderly folks and done great, and given how playful and gentle she is, she would probably be amazing with kids too.<br/><br/>Home Life<br/>She does well in her crate and genuinely likes having a space of her own, though she will let you know if she has been alone too long. At night she just wants to be near her people, whether that is the crate, the couch, the bed, or a blanket on the floor. She is still in her puppy phase so anything left on the ground is fair game to her. She had a few moments of unexplained nervousness when she first arrived, but those have gotten a lot rarer over the two weeks we have had her.<br/><br/>Food & Water<br/>She is a water dog through and through. The bowl, puddles, the pool, the lake, she loves all of it. Baths however are a different story but i’m sure as she gets more used to them it will get easier. She begs for ice at the fridge like it is a whole meal, and she goes crazy for eggs and chicken.<br/><br/>The Car<br/>She hates it. She will either drool an impressive amount or get sick. Just something to know going in.<br/><br/>Who She Is<br/>This puppy is loyal, playful, and genuinely sweet. She loves watching birds out the window, she warms up to everyone she meets, and she just wants to be wherever you are. The right home is going to be so lucky to have her.
