Hello! I am Chikis (2), a cute, 1 yr and 9 months old, medium-size dog (32 lb) with short brown fur. I have already been vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered. <br/><br/>I showed up one day in someone’s yard. The family was about to go to sleep when they suddenly heard a cry, and, well, it was me. I had a lot of ticks on me, so they cleaned me up and kept me separated from the other dogs in the home.<br/><br/>I had to be hospitalized for several days, but fortunately, a rescuer was able to cover my expenses. I tested positive for ehrlichia, so I had to undergo a treatment.<br/><br/>I've been waiting to find a new home for more than a year now but I don't lose hope! Actually, my caretakers have to move and they haven't found a place where they could take us foster dogs, so finding a home now would be ideal.<br/><br/>I live mainly indoors, I only go outside to go to the bathroom. I am super playful and a bit restless on occasion, although I may be shy when first meeting someone. I love to play with the other dogs that live with me, and I hang out around the cats too without any issues. <br/><br/>I hope to find a loving and responsible family that will take good care of me!
