Chikis's Story

Chikis is a three to four year Maltese/Shih-Tzu mix. Chikis has had a tough start in life. She came to us from a household with thirteen backyard dogs. From what we can tell, the dogs were cared about, but somewhat neglected. Chikis is initially a little cautious and timid, but she adjusts quickly. If given the chance, she wants to be your pride and joy and sit on your lap. She loves getting cuddles and doted on. Chikis has done well with other dogs after a proper introduction. She is currently fostered with other dogs and enjoys their company. Chikis needs a little help with leash training. We think Chikis would be okay around dog-friendly cats.
