Meet Chief
** PLEASE CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET ME ** 973-728-2859 Chief found himself with us through no fault of his own. Life happens to families. He lived with two cats and a Husky. Chief is 7 years old and can be adopted by a family with older children. He has typical GS traits and is a beautiful adult pup! He enjoys being brushed, walking with our volunteers, and exploring. He is housebroken and is an overall wonderful, large dog. He is waiting for a special person or family to give him a second chance to be loved and love you back! Please share Chief's info with friends and family to help him find his next loving home.
Please remember ALL dogs and cats once adopted need time to decompress in your home. Focus on creating a calm, safe, and structured environment to help them adjust. Take it slow. This gives you time to get to know their true personality, plus for them to get used to their new home and routine. Thank you!
Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our dogs. We do not adopt first come; we always select the best placement for our animals. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a dog. If you have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet will be scheduled for the second visit. We offer a free session with our trainer, Canine Cooperative, once an adoption is finalized.
Our adoption fee is $150 for dogs. This includes heartworm and Lyme testing, flea/tick preventatives, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter if six months or older. If they are too young, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
