CHIEF 2's Story

MEET CHIEF 2

Big guy Chief came to us from a NC shelter where he was dumped in the parking lot by his former owner despite signs stating they had just closed intake for 30 days due to a respiratory outbreak so the shelter had no details about him. Fortunately Chief managed to avoid getting sick and came to rescue after the shelter quarantine was lifted.

Chief loves his his toys but also loves to cuddle on the couch. Weighing in at 107 pounds, he still wants to lay on a lap. Chief takes treats gently and is very patient waiting for his meals. He is quite strong on a leash when walking out of his front yard. Chief knows many commends including sit and wait. We do not recommend him for families with children as he does not realize how big he is and uses his body to communicate when excited. Chief loves being groomed as well and is very good for baths. He has done well with female dogs but his foster does not have any male dogs to introduce him to. Chief is crate trained and house broke. Already neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. Chief is estimated to be about 1-1/2 to 2 years old. Fostered in Floyd, Virginia.

****

ADOPTION DETAILS: At this time, due to the size of our rescue, adoptions are limited to NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, VIRGINIA and +/-6 hours from Raleigh, NC. ADOPTION FEE: Our total adoption fee is $400, including a non-refundable $25 application fee. Fee can be paid using the "DONATE" button on our website (www.RottweilerHeartsRescue.org) - please indicate in the notes that it is for an application fee, and the intended dog. If you have any questions, please email our adoption coordinator at Rottiehearts@gmail.com!
