Chicken Wing's Story

I haven’t come up with a name for her but she is absolutely adorable. We have just been calling her chicken wing. 😂 She was found walking down a busy road and taken to animal control. She never had anyone come and claim ownership. She is 7-8 months old and 12.8 lbs. so she is going to be a very small French Bulldog. Vet is thinking 15ish lbs when full grown. We had her completely checked out by the vet to make sure that the leg was a birth defect and nothing else wrong with it. When we got her spayed, the vet did recommend to remove three of the toenails that were growing from that deformed leg. She said that will keep them from growing into her skin . Also, she really only has one toe on the deformed leg, but had three nails coming from it. The vet said otherwise she is walking on three legs just fine and of course could have a prosthetic leg, but she is fine without one. A prosthetic leg would help take weight and pressure off of her other front leg, but is not needed. She is now fully vetted, been spayed, microchip, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. She’s very calm and quiet. Loves other dogs. Very eager to learn and has already picked up fetching toys and things like that. She runs around and plays just fine .

Adoption Includes:
All dogs go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines and dewormings, hearworm negative, 3months of heartworm prevention, 3months of flea/tick prevention, a copy of all vet paperwork to show everything we have done, and a goodie bag. The goodie bag includes things like food, treats, toys, chew bones, blanket, collar, leash, and other things to get you started.

Our Adoption Procedures:
If interested in applying for adoption, you will complete a short adoption application form and send to us, once reviewed and approved we will set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting, if the meet and greet goes well, then we move forward to completing the adoption paperwork and you taking your new family member home.

Other Information:
We will always take our dogs back. We want to ensure they are safe for life, so there is never a time that we won't gladly help them. We do allow out of state adoptions but the adopter must meet us and the dog in person, we do not send our dogs on transport or to new homes without meeting the adopter. We are working on our 501c3 non-profit status but this takes time. Unfortunately, due to this our adoption fees are higher than we would want but since we have to pay for vetting, care, and supplies out of our own pockets and cannot request donations/grants we must get enough from the adoption fees to cover the cost. Note: Some dogs do not require as much cost for us to care/vet but others do; any adoption fees paid for a dog helps not only cover the cost put into that dog but the cost for others that may require more medical assistance. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns

If you’re still interested, send me your email address and I will send you an adoption application to fill out
