Chicken's Story

Meet CHICKEN
2–3 years old | 12 lbs | In foster

Chicken is a small pup with a big heart who’s ready for her second chance. She was rescued by The Sato Project from a devastating hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where she lived in a home with over 30 dogs. She is now healthy and living in a great foster home, where she hopes to find the loving family she’s never had.

Because of her past, Chicken is shy and cautious at first. But she is full of quiet resilience. With patience and compassion, she’ll begin to show her sweet, gentle nature, and give you all her love!

Here's what her foster has to say:

"Chicken is gentle and curious and getting braver each day. She spends her time sleeping on my couch, following me around my apartment, and looking outside my windows. She can still be nervous but walks well on leash alongside my dog, loves a cozy sweater and a good rolling around in the dirt, and is working up the courage to chase the neighborhood geese who she is definitely intrigued by! Aside from their walks together she does not interact with my dog, but has been coexisting peacefully with him as he also sleeps all day. She potties outside with no issue and so far, has slept perfectly in her crate throughout the night and when I’ve had to leave her."

Approved adopters in the Northeast can request a meet-and-greet, so fill out an application soon to make Marisol part of your family!

To apply:
Visit thesatorproject.org/adopt

For any questions, please email adoption@thesatoproject.org
