Chickadee's Story

Meet Chickadee! Chickadee is an (almost) four-month-old female Chihuahua mix, born April 5, 2026. Her mama Birdie and her three siblings were taken in by Chi Town Rescue when she was just a week old. Chickadee is the pup most like mama, and the most brave in her litter. She is also the only female in the litter, and the smallest ( just under five-pounds currently)! While the other pups are more shy, Chickadee doesn't have time for that- she has places to go, and people to see! Chickadee is always bouncing around alongside mama and will zoom up to you for kisses and snuggles. She is typical puppy in that she has lots of adorable energy and loves to play.
Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training.
Adoption fees are $500 per puppy and include vaccinations, microchip, and eventual alter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring your puppy to the PAWS clinic for spay/neuter surgery, sometime in September 2026. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment!
